Following the first series of team training from the Business Academy, St Francis Group are delighted with the positive feedback they’ve received. The first communication sessions this year have been Telephone Time seminars for Receptionists and Nurses at all career stages.

Detailed below are some of the responses so far from both new and experienced reception and nursing staff:

“Really beneficial, definitely going to help us out”

“Plenty to think about very informative and useful”

“Brilliant day, very informative. Showed things from several aspects”

“Reinforces the Receptionist’s role and aim in and interesting and informative way. Thank you”

Comprising of presentation and workshop sessions the seminar looked at the importance of the phone and how pivotal it is getting that remote communication right, paying particular attention to how vital a skilled receptionist or nurse is to the whole process.

Practice team members explored the best ways of bonding clients whilst on the phone, honed their listening skills and perfected effective questioning techniques. Time was spent establishing what clients really need from the practice and how to provide and present our products and services in the best possible way.

One of the issues looked at in depth is how to handle delicate situations remotely and the importance of asking for an appointment, once establishing client's real needs and matching the practice products and services to those needs has been achieved.

The response has been so positive that following demand, the Business Academy will be running some extra sessions in the autumn.

If you haven’t signed up to the Academy yet you still can by either speaking to your local Practice Support Manager or going onto the business development area of the SFG website where you will find full details of upcoming events.
