I am currently in discussions with someone who is running a very popular and very effective business course in other markets and we are wondering whether or not to tailor the content to suit business-minded veterinary professionals.

Without giving any detail about the course content at this stage I would love to hear what you might be prepared to pay (assume only that the content would excite you!) so I'm inviting you to answer the following questions:

1. The course currently runs elsewhere at a cost of £250/day. What is your initial response to this price (gut reaction please)?

2. What is the most you have ever paid for a business course? And what is the average you'd expect to pay for a day's training?

3. Price aside, would you be more attracted to invest in business-related CPD if there were a money-back guarantee (along the lines of "if you don' feel this course will more than pay for itself, ask for a full refund")?

Thanks in anticipation of a response! (I shall also be posting this in the Business forum).

Just wanted to say that I have had great service on several occasions this year from Synergy Vet Recruitment who have outperformed several other agencies. We rarely need to employ locums and they are usually as rare as hens' teeth in the Summer.
Synergy have been extremely helpful and have only offered quality candidates that matched our requirements. They provide good contact details, references and honest appraisals of the locum's experience and capabilities.
Their contact details are www.synergyvets.com or 0870 755 9935.

Hi. Any help greatly appreciated on the changes to nurse training.
Our local college is providing the nurse training course over 2 days per week for first year and a block of 6 wks for 2nd year. Just trying to get the picture of what other practices are doing with the finance for all this. Are you ? paying full salary for time at college or when just at work. From reading the information from RCVS I assume I am right in saying that trainee nurses don't need to be employed but need to have a position in practice providing experience. Is this correct. Is there funding available for college costs.
Also we have had some assistant nurses employed in the practice who now wish to go to college. Can anybody offer advice on this as to what we should do. Do they remain as employed and paid or paid for time in practice and not time in college. Interested to see what practices are doing. Probably covered before so sorry if this is a repeat. Many thanks. Jennifer. Cedar Grove Vet Clinic Belfast:
